Principal

I am a registered Architect in Colorado, Alabama, and Georgia with twenty years of experience in design and construction and a history of working closely with Clients and Contractors to achieve successful outcomes.

I am a native of Birmingham, Alabama and received undergraduate degrees in Architecture and Interior Architecture from Auburn University where I participated in the Rural Studio program and graduated Summa Cum Laude. I later attended the University of California, Berkeley where I earned a graduate degree in Architecture. Prior to founding R. Austin Architect, I worked with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in San Francisco and then for Williams Blackstock Architects in Birmingham, Alabama as a Project Manager and Office Team Leader.

I love the Lord, my wife, and my three children, and in my spare time I enjoy camping, hiking, and running through the mountains with my family.
